Joya Digital is a performance marketing agency running paid media and SEO for brands across the US, Canada and Europe. Alongside the agency we are building Ad Profit Doctor, an AI agent that runs ad accounts. It already works internally on live client accounts every day. Now we are turning it into a product.
The Role
You will be the first dedicated engineer on Ad Profit Doctor. The agent exists and does real work today. What it does not have yet is everything that turns an internal tool into something strangers can sign up for and trust: proper multi-tenancy, customers connecting their own ad accounts, billing, reliability under load, and an interface beyond Slack.
That is the job. You will own the architecture decisions, write most of the code, and work directly with the founder. The target is a beta with friendly customers within two to three months of you starting.
This is a founding engineer role in the real sense. Small team, no layers, your decisions ship.
What You Will Be Doing
- Take the existing agent from internal tool to multi-tenant product
- Build the auth and OAuth layer so customers connect their own ad accounts safely
- Move long-running AI calls off the request path and into proper background jobs
- Build billing, onboarding and the account layer
- Work directly with the ad platform APIs, Google Ads first
- Design and build an interface that is not Slack
- Own reliability end to end: monitoring, error handling, audit trail, rollback
- Make the architecture calls and defend them
Who We Are Looking For
- You have shipped and operated a real production SaaS product, not only features inside someone else’s
- Strong backend engineering. We care that you can build and ship, not which framework you prefer
- You have built with LLM APIs in production and know where they break: timeouts, cost, retries, output drift
- You have integrated third-party APIs and OAuth flows and know what goes wrong with them
- Comfortable owning infrastructure and deployment yourself
- Fluent English, written and spoken
- You make decisions and live with them. Nobody is sitting above you on this codebase
- Full-time and on-site in El Gouna. Not remote, not freelance
How We Hire
We test rather than take your word for it. Expect a conversation about the product, a practical exercise close to the real work, and a technical review of something you have already built and shipped. Certificates do not count here.
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM Cairo time, on-site at our El Gouna office.
